Bizarre Dream

Bizarre Dream is an original sketch from my collection of sketches created between 2016 and 2020. I created this sketch while pregnant with my son, resting at my parents' home. It was a bittersweet moment—my pregnancy symbolised the start of my own motherhood journey, marking a new chapter of life. The woman in this drawing, deeply asleep, reflects the comfort and security I felt in my parents' home, where I could take what felt like my “final” restful sleep before stepping into this transformative phase. The surreal, dreamlike quality hints at the mix of emotions I carried—anticipation, nostalgia, and the strange beauty of change.
